1. Accepting these terms
By accessing or using InvoiceFiler, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you use InvoiceFiler for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these terms for that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. What InvoiceFiler provides
InvoiceFiler is a browser-based utility that reads machine-readable invoice PDFs on your device, proposes filenames from detected fields, lets you review and correct them, and creates renamed copies for download. It does not modify your original files.
InvoiceFiler is not accounting, tax, legal, records-management, or compliance advice. You remain responsible for checking every proposed filename and deciding whether an output is suitable for your records.
3. Supported documents and limits
The current product supports text-based PDF invoices that are readable without a password. Scanned, image-only, encrypted, malformed, oversized, or unusually structured PDFs may not work. Extraction is not guaranteed to be accurate for every supported document.
The Free plan supports batches of up to 5 PDFs. Pro supports batches of up to 200 PDFs, subject to the per-file and total-batch limits shown in the application.
4. Pro purchases and licenses
Pro is offered as a one-time purchase through Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Prices, taxes, currency conversion, and payment methods are shown at checkout. Lemon Squeezy handles the payment transaction, receipt, applicable sales tax or VAT, and payment disputes.
A Pro purchase grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the available Pro features on up to two personal work devices. You may not sell, share, publish, sublicense, or attempt to bypass a license key or activation limit.
5. Refunds
If InvoiceFiler cannot process your supported text-based invoice PDFs as described, contact hello@invoicefiler.com within 14 days of purchase. We will review the request and, when eligible, arrange the refund through Lemon Squeezy. This policy does not reduce any refund or consumer rights that apply by law.
Do not email confidential invoices as proof unless we specifically request a safe diagnostic sample. A synthetic or redacted example is preferred.
6. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for having permission to process the documents you select, protecting your device and license key, reviewing outputs before relying on them, and keeping appropriate backups of original documents.
You must not use InvoiceFiler unlawfully, interfere with the service, probe or bypass security controls, reverse engineer protected licensing mechanisms except where law expressly permits, or use the service to infringe another person’s rights.
7. Ownership and feedback
InvoiceFiler and its software, branding, interface, and documentation remain the property of their respective owner. You keep all rights in your documents and outputs. Using InvoiceFiler does not give us ownership of your invoice data.
If you send suggestions, you allow us to use them to improve InvoiceFiler without an obligation to compensate you. Do not include confidential information in feedback.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep InvoiceFiler available and useful, but we do not promise uninterrupted operation or compatibility with every browser, document, or future platform change. We may update, secure, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service. Where practical, material changes affecting paid use will be communicated on the website or through available contact information.
9. Disclaimers and liability
InvoiceFiler is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that extracted details or proposed filenames will be complete, accurate, or suitable for a particular purpose.
To the extent permitted by law, InvoiceFiler is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or business-interruption losses arising from use of the service. Our total liability relating to Pro will not exceed the amount you paid for that license. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
10. Ending use and changes to these terms
You may stop using InvoiceFiler at any time. We may restrict access where a license is fraudulent, shared beyond its limit, used to bypass security, or connected to unlawful activity. Sections intended to survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits—will continue to apply.
We may revise these terms as the product changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Continued use after updated terms take effect means you accept the revised terms.
